Within the framework of its obligations under the lease agreement, Veolia Jur is modernizing the water infrastructure across its service areas with major investments. One such example is the large-scale water sector construction works currently underway in Goris. Under the 2026 Mandatory Capital Works Program, with an investment of 542.8 million AMD, the last remaining unreplaced sections of the Goris distribution network are being reconstructed.
A total of 12.5 km of water pipelines will be reconstructed, improving the water supply for 330 subscribers. The old, worn-out steel and cast-iron pipes, which used to burst under pressure and cause water losses, will also be replaced. Additionally, 15 pressure regulation stations will be constructed and 7 flow meters will be installed to ensure more precise management of the distribution network.
The project also includes the reconstruction of approximately 180 meters of damaged sewer lines on Narekatsi Street in Goris.
