Veolia Jur’s Ejmiatsin laboratory hosted the 9th grade students of Vagharshapat’s M. Mashtots Secondary School No. 1. As part of their Chemistry course, they came to learn about drinking water purification methods. At the laboratory, Levon Ghukasyan, Head of the company’s Quality Department, first introduced the students to Veolia Jur’s activities and then explained how water travels from a natural source to the tap.

The students were introduced to all the modern equipment available in the laboratory and observed how each device is used to conduct physico-chemical and microbiological analyses of drinking water samples. They first watched the processes of water disinfection and chlorination, and then personally took part in determining the degree of water hardness. Spending several hours in the laboratory, the students were able to practically reinforce the theoretical knowledge they had gained at school about water purification methods.
