Marianna Shahinyan, General Director of "Veolia Djur" company, hosted members of the France-Armenia Friendship Group of the French National Assembly in the sanitary zone of the "Hatsarat" springs in the town of Gavar, Gegharkunik Province, accompanied by Olivier Decottignies, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Armenia.
Ms. Shahinyan presented to the delegates the newly commissioned solar power plant built exclusively for the company's own needs, recently launched by "Veolia Djur."
The 200 kW solar power plant generates 274,493 kWh of electricity annually. This means that the solar plant provides 12% of the annual electricity consumption of the "Hatsarat" pumping station.
The members of parliament also toured the Hatsarat water spring and pumping station facilities, getting acquainted with the entire water production process.
Veolia Group continues to implement its environmental and renewable energy projects in Armenia.
