The third and final phase of the water pipeline rehabilitation project has commenced in Arinj village, Abovyan community, Kotayk Province. The company had previously carried out similar rehabilitation works in the village in 2023 and 2024. During those phases, a total of 13 km of distribution network was reconstructed, benefiting 1,000 customers in the Kh. Abovyan and P. Sevak neighborhoods. With an investment of AMD 905 million, the company is now replacing 22.3 km of water pipelines to improve service for 1,700 customers.The existing steel and cast-iron pipelines, installed 40–50 years ago, are prone to frequent failures and hidden leaks.
In addition, many sections of the network pass beneath private properties, making maintenance and repairs particularly challenging.Upon completion of the project, the village's water distribution network will be significantly improved. Technical and commercial water losses will be reduced, the required water volumes will be distributed more evenly, the water supply system will become more manageable, operating costs will decrease, and approximately 22 liters of water per second will be saved.
