Today, the Central Laboratory of “Veolia Djur” once again welcomed guests. Within the framework of their Chemistry project work, this time the 9th-grade students of Yerevan Spandaryan School No. 24 visited us. As always, the Head of the Central Laboratory, Ms. Naira Bilyan, and her colleagues had specially prepared for the students’ visit. Presenting the journey of water — from natural sources to the tap — Ms. Bilyan explained how samples are taken from daily regulating reservoirs, what chemical and microbiological tests the water undergoes before reaching consumers, and more. In the chemical section, the students learned about the chlorination process and took part in determining the degree of water hardness. In the microbiological section, they participated in microbiological testing and worked with microscopes. Satisfied and impressed by the visit, our guests assured us that the valuable information they received here would definitely be used in their project work.
