The water supply interruption announced for Yerevan’s Arabkir, Kentron, and Erebuni administrative districts is due to repair works on the damaged section of the "Arzni 1" water main. Early this morning, the Arabkir Operations Unit began replacing a 90-meter section of the 900 mm water main with a new 1,000 mm steel pipeline in the Ptghni Gorge. The work is technically complex and time-consuming. However, the announced 36-hour water supply interruption depends not only on the completion of the construction works but also on the process of refilling the 900 mm water main, which itself takes several hours.
