The “Tavush” water pipeline, built in the 1970s, is gradually getting a new lease on life thanks to the VeoliaTeam. Each year, the “Berd” operational unit of Veolia Djur renovates sections of the reserve “Tavush” pipeline using its own resources. Located about 3 km from the town of Berd, the pipeline is typically operated in winter and summer, “assisting” the “Chatagh” and “Bayghush” pipelines that supply Berd. Therefore, it must be ready for operation at any moment.

In previous years, the unit’s specialists replaced around 600 meters of the pipeline. This year, an additional 220 meters were renovated—a section that frequently broke down in winter, causing water losses and worsening water supply. Since the road leading to the pipeline is also difficult to access, responding quickly to breakdowns becomes even more challenging. Today, the pipeline is already ready to be reactivated in winter, should the need arise.
