Veolia Djur has launched the reconstruction of the 2,500-meter Hairenyats–Haykasar water pipeline in the Artik region. The company’s “Artik” operational unit is replacing the 80 mm steel pipeline that pumps water from the Maralik water main to the village of Hairenyats with a 200 mm polyethylene pipeline. The same pipeline will also be extended to the villages of Haykasar and Tufashen, which until now received water from the Mantash reservoir through a 150 mm steel pipeline. As a result, the 18-km pipeline running from the Mantash reservoir to these villages will be taken out of operation.

And the villages of Hairenyats, Haykasar, and Tufashen will have even higher-quality, more regular, and stable water supply. The water supply to nine villages in the Artik area will also be significantly improved. The VeoliaTeam has already completed the earthworks, the pipeline installation is underway, and if weather conditions permit, the water pipeline will be commissioned at the beginning of next year.
