The sewerage issue on Ghevond Hovhannisyan and Charents Streets in the city of Agarak, Syunik Province, has been resolved. The sewer line in this area was clogged several times a week, causing wastewater to overflow onto adjacent streets and creating inconveniences for local residents. To address this long-standing issue, Veolia Water’s Meghri Operations Unit, in cooperation with the community, reconstructed the sewer line.
A 75-meter-long bypass sewer line was constructed using a double-layer polyethylene pipeline. The sewerage system is now fully operational. However, its continued reliable operation also depends on consumers’ proper and responsible use of the system.
