In Hnaberd settlement of the Ararat region, Veolia Djur has launched, using its own resources, the rehabilitation of the village’s water supply network. The internal drinking water network was built in the 1960s. The pipelines, now over 60 years old, were failing almost daily. Residents were reporting issues to Veolia Djur several times a week. The company’s specialists would respond and fix the breakdowns, but it was clear that a fundamental solution—not a temporary one—was needed. Accordingly, the “Artashat” operational unit has already started replacing 2,550 meters of pipelines serving 280 subscribers in the village. The works are planned to be completed by summer, resulting in water savings of 3 liters per second, a more manageable network, and regular, high-quality water supply.
