Another breakdown of the sewer collector in Norapat village, Armavir region, had created unsanitary conditions, as sewage water accumulated and overflowed from the manholes. Built back in the 1970s, the reinforced concrete pipes of the collector had worn down and deteriorated over decades of operation, resulting in underground cave-ins.
Veolia Jur responded promptly and allocated 20 million AMD under an urgent program to resolve the issue fundamentally. The worn-out pipes are currently being replaced with new, double-layer, highly durable polyethylene pipes. Details in the videos.
