Clarification regarding recent disruptions in the water supply schedule in certain areas of Yerevan.

ռտռ

In recent days, due to the unprecedented high temperatures recorded across the country and a sharp peak in water consumption, disruptions in the water supply schedule have been observed in certain districts of Yerevan. Particularly affected are blocks 3, 6, 7, and 9 of the Nor Nork administrative district, as well as parts of the Nor Marash and Kanaker-Zeytun districts.
The core issue lies in the significant increase in water consumption during these days, including the use of drinking water for irrigation purposes. This situation has coincided with a decrease in the yield of water sources. It is important to note that the aforementioned districts are supplied exclusively by the "Katnaghbyur" water pipelines, and due to the specific topography of these areas, it is technically impossible to supply water to them from alternative sources.
We assure you that Veolia Djur fully acknowledges the seriousness of the situation and the responsibility it entails. Our teams are working around the clock, continuously striving to detect and prevent water losses and redirect that volume into the system. Every team member is in place, all available resources have been mobilized, and, figuratively speaking, every drop of water is being extracted from the sources.
We kindly ask for your understanding and assure you that this situation is temporary. Every effort is being made to restore regular water supply to the affected areas as soon as possible.
