It was reported that a few days ago, the 700 mm Artashavan–Saghmosavan water pipeline was damaged due to a rock collapse, resulting in a water loss of 70 liters per second. This pipeline supplies water to the town of Ashtarak, as well as the villages of Sasunik, Karin, and the left bank of Oshakan. The Ashtarak operational site of Veolia Water immediately began supplying water to consumers from the “Artak” pumping station, and during this period, consumers did not experience any inconvenience. Meanwhile, a specialized team carried out the blasting and removal of the collapsed rock debris on the pipeline. In parallel, Veolia Water transported a new 500 mm pipeline to the accident site. Tomorrow, the Ashtarak operational site, together with the “Jrar” service, will begin replacing the damaged pipes. The work is expected to be completed within 1–2 days.
