Veolia Water has launched its 2026 Mandatory Capital Works Program. The first project is being implemented in the village of Nor Geghi, Kotayk Province, where the Company is investing approximately AMD 573 million in the reconstruction of the water supply system. A new water distribution network of about 30 km will be constructed for approximately 1,170 customers, enabling water savings of 36 liters per second. Due to the scale of the works, the project has been divided into two packages and is being carried out by two contractors.

The existing water supply network in the village was built nearly half a century ago and has significantly deteriorated over the years. Breakdowns occurred frequently in the old and worn-out pipelines, and repairs were often difficult to carry out. Part of the network passed through private properties, creating challenges both for network operation and for emergency repair works. Upon completion of the project, the Nor Geghi community will have a fully manageable and reliable distribution network.

Water losses will be reduced, water distribution will be improved, and pressure issues in apartment buildings will be resolved. At the same time, approximately 36 liters of water per second will be saved and redirected to other communities requiring improvements in water supply services. The project is scheduled for completion within 10 months.
