Recently, six breakdowns were recorded on the 529 mm water main running from the Araratyan 1/2 pumping station, which supplies the city of Masis, to the Kharberd Reservoir. The Masis Sub-Operation Area repaired all six breakdowns, preventing a water loss of 12 litres per second. When discussing water supply interruptions, their causes, and the dissatisfaction they may cause among residents, it is important, while fully understanding consumers’ concerns, to also consider the condition of the water supply system. It is a vast and complex system, where, even after an issue is resolved in one section, a breakdown may occur in another.

Veolia Jur fully fulfils its responsibilities to ensure the reliable operation of the water supply system. However, it is not always possible to resolve issues without interrupting the water supply. When a choice has to be made between a temporary interruption and preventing water loss, temporary inconvenience is preferable, with the primary objective of improving the overall condition and efficiency of the system.
