Throughout the year, the operational units of "Veolia Djur" operate under a heavy workload, but things become even more challenging during the summer months. In addition to handling multiple daily emergencies, the units also carry out water pipeline reconstruction works within their service areas using their own resources. Specifically, since the beginning of the year, the "South" unit of the "Yerevan" Operational Directorate has reconstructed—and continues to reconstruct—more than 5 km of water pipelines.

Hidden leaks were frequent in the 1st lane of Shirak Street in the Shengavit administrative district. Localized solutions proved ineffective, and now replacement works are underway for 700 meters of pipeline, serving 25 subscribers. Water meter chambers will be relocated to the property boundaries, and old subscriber meters will be replaced with new ones. As a result of these works, it will be possible to save 4 liters of water per second.

Residents of Vardashen 11 Street in the Erebuni administrative district had been continuously complaining about water supply issues. The reason was the poor-quality pipes installed years ago by the residents themselves. Through a joint effort between Veolia Djur and the residents, the 100-meter-long deteriorated pipeline was replaced with a new one, after which complaints related to water issues on the street ceased.

Almost daily, emergency repairs are needed on 10th Street in Nor Kharberd, Ararat Province. The water pipeline there is completely deteriorated. Currently, a full reconstruction of a 2-kilometer pipeline is underway, which will serve 130 subscribers.
In the same province, water consumption has increased in the communities of Jrashen and Ditak due to a growing number of resident-subscribers. Water supply in these two villages was previously carried out through outdated 100 mm cast iron and steel pipes, which lacked the capacity to meet the growing demand. As a result, the Veolia team has also initiated pipeline replacement works in this area.
A new 160 mm diameter polyethylene pipeline, approximately 800 meters long, is being installed. In addition, the deteriorated pipeline on Pushkin Street in Jrashen is being replaced in cooperation with the local municipality—400 meters of new piping to serve 20 subscribers. The works are expected to be completed by August, after which residents' complaints in these areas will significantly decrease, and water losses will be prevented and redirected to benefit the mentioned communities.
