Repair works on water pipelines have been completed in the settlements of Verin Artashat, Norashen, Mrgavet and Burastan in Ararat Province.
The “Artashat” operation site of Veolia Jur started the reconstruction of a total of 2,780 linear meters of water pipelines at the end of last year in the following streets:
• Sayat-Nova Street in Verin Artashat,
• M. Saryan Street in Norashen,
• Orbeli and Ashot Yerkat Streets in Mrgavet,
• Av. Isahakyan and Z. Andranik Streets in Burastan.
When these pipelines were constructed in the 2000s, pipes that did not meet the required standards were used. As a result, they frequently broke down, causing pressure drops in the network and leading to constant complaints from consumers.
Now the service connections of 145 subscribers along these streets have been replaced. Water meter chambers and valves have also been installed, eliminating water losses of 5 liters per second.
This means that consumers now have reliable, high-quality water supply without accidents or complaints.
