Meeting Tigran Avinyan - Malika Ghendouri

The RA Deputy Prime Minister has received the Director for Armenia of Veolia Environment

The meeting between Tigran Avinyan and Malika Ghendouri, Director in charge of the Baltic countries, the Caucases and Central Asia of Veolia Environment took place in the Republic of Armenia Government.

The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the Veolia Group activity in Armenia emphasizing the need for further cooperation and the GoA interest to attract new investments. He stressed that the water policy will be effective due to close cooperation between the GoA and the Company. Tigran Avinyan added that last year, because of Coronavirus pandemic and war, several projects were not completed and they should be continued in the near future to bring concrete results. The Deputy Prime Minister paid special attention to the issue on improvement of the water system focusing especially on the necessity of effective management. 

Malika Ghendօuri thanked for the reception stressing that together with the Government it will be possible to solve the existing problems in the sphere, as well as to re-enforce the agreement concluded between the Parties and fully bring it to life.

The Parties touched upon the issue on tariffs, as well as the provision of services and opportunities for improving the quality of services.

During her visit to Armenia Malika Ghendouri met also Garegin Baghramyan, the RA PSRC Chairman and discussed several issues related to the Veolia Jur CJSC activity, in particular water and wastewater services, service quality indicators, investment projects and tariff policy.
