The Center of the "East" Region

In Vayk, the official opening ceremony of Veolia Water CJSC’s “East” Regional Center took place, attended by the company’s General Director Christian Leffey, Member of the Public Services Regulatory Commission of Armenia Mushegh Koshetsyan, Deputy Chairman of the Water Committee of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Hovhannes Harutyunyan, and other officials.
The former administrative building of the Hayjrmughkuyugh Vayk branch, newly renovated, now boasts not only a refreshed appearance but also enhanced functions. Under one roof, the regional operations and commercial services of Veolia Water, along with the water quality laboratory, will now operate jointly.
Why is it called the “East” Regional Center? Because it holds regional significance. Veolia Water’s policy aims to eliminate the disparity between Yerevan and the regions. From now on, the company will place increasing emphasis on regional development. Consumers—regardless of where they live—have the same daily needs and, therefore, the same right to expect equal attention to their issues.
Located at the heart of Veolia Water’s so-called “Eastern” service zone—which stretches from Dilijan to Meghri, encompassing the regions of Gegharkunik, Vayots Dzor, and Syunik—Vayk serves as a key link connecting all these areas. It allows for quicker access to settlements and more efficient problem-solving. Based on this logic, a centralized warehouse has also been established in Vayots Dzor to serve the entire region, equipped with all necessary materials, technical resources, and a special fleet of machinery.
Veolia Water is confident that, over time, this Center will continue to grow and evolve. Yet, what will remain unchanged is the company's commitment to fulfilling its responsibilities, meeting public expectations, and ensuring reliable water supply to its consumers.
